Hi, my name is Gidget. I am over seven years old and weigh about 11 pounds. I was found by a very nice lady who tried to find my family but couldn’t so she asked the rescue to help me and boy did I need it.
Shortly after I came to the rescue I went to the vet. When I was there they found out I had heart worms and I am a diabetic. I had treatment and don’t have heart worms anymore but I do need insulin shot twice a day. My dosage has been regulated and I have a specific food that works best for me. So it roughly costs about 48 cents a day for my medicine & needles and 60 cents a day for my special food. I love my person and want to be with them. I absolutely adore food. I will make sure there are no pieces of anything is left on the floor. I don’t mind other dogs or cats but I don’t want them anywhere near my food or person. My diabetes has affected my vision so I don’t have a lot of vision anymore. I don’t shed and will need to be groomed regularly.
