Hey there! My name is Axel. I am an 16 month old male that weighs about 12 pounds. Would you guess by how I look that my mom was half pug? No? Well I promise you I am one of her sons. I was born with the rescue and adopted out as a young pup and then returned recently. It wasn’t my fault and I need a family who will love me just as I am, you know, love me unconditionally.

I'm a sweet, happy and energetic boy. I also LOVE going on walks and am good on a leash. Take me on adventures please! All I want is your attention and I'm super happy when I get to cuddle with you! When we aren't cuddling, I'll happily roll over so you can give me lots of belly rubs. My coat is nice and soft too!
I love to play, but I'm not very good about bringing my toys back yet. I think they might just be all mine. I know basic commands like sit, but I am still young so I may need reminding from time to time. Please be patient with me and I will love you all the more for it!

I am house and crate trained, but some nights I get a little nervous alone in my crate. I'm getting better every day though! I'm pretty smart and learn quickly.  I haven't met a single person or dog I don't like, whether they are big or small. Actually I love other dogs.  I'm not sure how I am around children, so if they are older that’s better. And if they're nice I'm sure I'd love them too. Can I be your furry family?

I am vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. I am also current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. My adoption fee is $200.00. The first step in adopting me is to complete an adoption application for Axel at www.dogsasfamily.org.   My heart is waiting to love you.
